Set in the south of Nevis, 800 feet up a hillside, lies the Montpelier Plantation Inn, offering a sanctuary of breathtaking beauty far from the stresses of modern life. During the 18th Century the plantation was a working sugar plantation and was witness to the marriage of Lord Nelson to Fanny Nisbet. Most of the sugar fields have given way to tropical vegetation, though a small portion of land is still farmed for sugar that is used in the kitchens of Montpelier.
The Inn has been restored in keeping with its heritage and style. All of the 17 rooms offer both stylish and comfortable living with views of the sea and the lush hillside. Take Montpelier's shuttle to their private beach club with sun shelter's, beach pavilion and a bar in an historic Nevisian house. In the evening, dine in a gourmet restaurant and enjoy the freshest produce straight from the plantation farms.
All guests receive a welcome Montpelier rum punch, daily full English cooked breakfast with fresh squeezed juice and home made breads and jams, daily afternoon tea with home made cakes and scones served on the Quarter Deck, fresh fruit in the room daily, nightly turn down service and complimentary snorkelling and tennis equipment.
Children aged 8 years and over are welcome.
