 Palm Island is a very special place. It lies on its own 135-acre island in The Grenadines. It is reached via a 45-minute flight from Barbados to neighbouring Union island, followed by an 8-minute ride by private launch.
The five white-sand beaches are complemented by just 37 guestrooms that are dwarfed by the coconut palms and set to take full advantage of the tropical landscape. There are four distinct styles of accommodation, all of which feature custom-designed rattan and bamboo furniture, fine bed linens, balconies or patios and original art-work. Rooms are free from the intrusion of televisions and 'phones, although both are available in certain areas of the resort.
Leisure activities are generally focused upon the sand and the sea and the delicious Euro-Caribbean cuisine includes freshly-caught seafood and locally-grown vegetables.
Visiting yachts and some traditional private beach homes contribute a sense of authentic island life but the resort is principally a place where guests can slow down and relax.
